Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €500,000 at Dublin Airport
Today (26/10/2023), as part of an intelligence-led operation and with the assistance of detector dog Maggie, Revenue officers seized approximately 25 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €500,000 at Dublin Airport.
The illicit drugs were discovered when Revenue officers stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from New York, USA.
A woman in her 20s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
