Revenue seize MDMA tablets worth €235,000 in Co. Monaghan
On 25/07/2025, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Monaghan Divisional Drugs Unit, and Revenue Customs Service, Revenue officers seized a large quantity of MDMA tablets (pending analysis) with an estimated value of €235,000 in Co. Monaghan.
One male in his 20s was arrested by An Garda Síochána following the seizure and is currently being detained in a Garda station in the North Western Region under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. Investigations remain ongoing at present.
