Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €2.1 million in Cork
On 27/07/2025, as a result of risk profiling, Revenue officers seized 107 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €2.1 million at the Port of Cork. The herbal cannabis was discovered with the assistance of detector dog Rua, in a trailer, which had originated in Croatia, and had disembarked a vessel arriving from Zeebrugge.
A man in his 50s was arrested and is being detained at a Southern Region Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
These seizures are part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
