Revenue seize drugs worth €700,000 in Louth

On 12/08/2025, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Dundalk Divisional Drug & Detective Units, and Revenue’s Customs Service, Revenue officers seized 10 kgs of cocaine with an estimated value of €700,000 in Dundalk, Co. Louth. 

Two people, a male in his 40s and a female in her 30s were arrested by An Garda Síochána following the seizure and are currently being detained in a Garda station in the North Eastern region under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. Investigations remain ongoing at present.

This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
