Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €120,000 in Co. Wexford

On 13/8/2025, as part of intelligence-led operations, Revenue officers seized approximately 6 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of approximately €120,000 in Co Wexford. 

This seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Enniscorthy Drugs and Crime Units based in the Southeastern Region.

In a follow-up search a further quantity of approximately 1.5 kgs of herbal cannabis with a potential market value of €30,000 and approximately 250 grams of suspected cocaine (subject to forensic analysis) with a market value of €17,500 were seized by Gardaí.  

Two males aged in their 20s and 30s were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained at a Southeastern Region Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
