Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €399,600 at Dublin Airport

On Monday, 25/08/2025, as a result of an intelligence led operation, Revenue Officers at Dublin Airport seized 19.98 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of approximately €399,600.

The cannabis was discovered concealed in vacuum packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight originating from Thailand.  A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested by An Garda Síochána in relation to the seizure and has since appeared before the courts. Investigations are ongoing.

This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
