Joint Operation results in drug seizure valued at approximately €259,000
On 7/11/2025, as part of intelligence-led operations, a total of 14kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €259,000 and €6,00 in cash were seized in south Dublin.
The seizures were made as a result of a joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), the DMR South Central Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Customs Service.
Revenue Officers seized approximately 14 kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €259,000, and in a search conducted as part of the operation, approximately €6,000 in cash was seized by An Garda Síochána.
One male, aged in his 20s, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained in a Garda Station in Co. Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
