Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth over €299,000 at Dublin Airport

On Monday 12/01/2026, as part of routine operations, Revenue Officers at Dublin Airport seized 14.96 kg of herbal cannabis. The cannabis has an estimated value of over €299,000.

The cannabis was discovered vacuum packed within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight originating from Thailand.

A man in his 20s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and has since been charged and appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Tuesday, 13/01/2026, where he was remanded in custody. 

Investigations are ongoing.
