Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth €472,000 in North Cork
On 28/01/2026, as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 23.6 kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €472,000 in North Cork.
This seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), and the Cork North West Divisional Drugs Unit.
Two men in their 30s and a woman in her 20s were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained at separate Cork Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
