Revenue seize herbal cannabis worth over €430,000 at Dublin Airport

On 27/03/2026, as a result of routine operations, Revenue officers at Dublin Airport seized 21.5 kg of herbal cannabis. The illicit drugs have an estimated value of over €430,000. The herbal cannabis was discovered concealed in vacuum packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight originating from Malaga.  

One male, aged in his 30s, was arrested by An Garda Síochána in connection with the investigation. He has since been charged, and was scheduled to appear before the courts on 28/03/2026. As this is now before the courts, there will be no further comment. Investigations are ongoing.

This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
