Joint operation results in drug seizure valued at approximately €5.1 million
On 28/05/2026, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Revenue Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), approximately 255 kg of suspected herbal cannabis was seized in the Dublin Metropolitan Region. The illicit drugs have an estimated value of €5.1 million.
Four males, aged in their 20s, 40s, 50s and 60s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained in Garda Stations in Dublin under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
Investigations remain ongoing.
