Joint operation results in drug seizure valued at approximately €1.4 million
On 09/07/2026, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Revenue Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Ballymun Drugs Unit, approximately 73kg of suspected herbal cannabis was seized in Dublin. The illicit drugs have an estimated value of over €1.4 million.
Two males, aged in their 40s and 30s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 in a Garda Station in Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing.
