Joint operations result in drug seizures valued at over €275,000
On 31/08/2026, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Revenue Customs Service, Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Divisional Drugs Unit DMR South Central, Revenue Customs officers seized 1 kg of suspected cocaine, with an estimated value of €100,000 in the Dublin 8 area.
In follow up searches members of An Garda Síochána seized €16,000 in cash and a further quantity of various controlled drugs valued at €14,500.
Two males, aged in their 30s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 in a Garda Station in Dublin.
On 01/09/2026, as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Revenue Customs Service, Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Serious Crime South, Revenue Customs officers seized 11.65 kg of suspected cannabis, with an estimated value of €163,000 in West Dublin.
One female, aged in her 30s, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 in a Garda Station in Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing.
