Local Property Tax - what you need to do for 2026

Submitting your LPT return

The easiest way to submit your Local Property Tax (LPT) return is online. You can submit your LPT return through the LPT online service.

Note

The Local Property Tax Return deadline has been extended to 17:30 on 12 November.

To access this service, you will need your Personal Public Service Number (PPSN), Property ID and PIN. Your Property ID and PIN are contained on all LPT correspondence from Revenue.

Note

You can request your Property ID and PIN be sent to you by post if you are not registered for:

- myAccount

or

- Revenue Online Service (ROS).

To do so, enter your PPSN on the LPT online service and click 'Send my Property ID or PIN by post'.

Alternatively, if you are the designated liable person for your property, you can access the LPT online service through myAccount or ROS.

LPT Exemptions

You may be eligible to claim an exemption from the LPT charge. If your property qualifies for an exemption, you must claim this on your LPT return. For further information on LPT exemptions, please see Local Property Tax (LPT) exemption for 2026 to 2030.

Deferral of the LPT charge
