Paying your Local Property Tax (LPT)
Can you pay your LPT by cheque?
You can pay your LPT by cheque. All cheques must be accompanied by either a cover letter or a Form LPT1A. Your cover letter should include the LPT amount, your Property Identification Number (ID), and the year the payment relates to. Please ensure that you list the Property ID on the back of the cheque.
If you choose to pay your LPT by cheque or postal order, you should do the following:
- Insert an X at Option 2 (Payment in Full) on the LPT1A Form.
- Make your cheque or postal order payable to the Collector-General and record your Property ID on the back of it.
- Do not 'post-date' your cheque or postal order.
- Send your cheque or postal order and your LPT1A Form to Revenue LPT Branch.
