Paying your Local Property Tax (LPT) charge

LPT payment dates for 2027

The date by which you need to pay your Local Property Tax (LPT) charge depends on the payment option you choose:

January 2027

Phased payments start for deduction at source and regular cash payments through a Payment Service Provider (PSP). The approved PSPs are An Post and Payzone.

11 January 2027

Latest date for paying in full through an approved PSP, or by debit or credit card.

15 January 2027

Monthly direct debit payments start and continue on the 15th day of every month.

21 March 2027

Deduction date for Annual Debit Instruction (ADI) payment.

Note

If you are spreading your payments over 2027, or are paying by ADI, you must confirm your payment method to Revenue by 2 December 2026. You can select the relevant payment option through the LPT online service. 

If you have not paid your LPT charge for previous years you should do so immediately.
